The Contact Rules OSID includes rules services to manage rules applied
to Contacts .
ContactEnabler Rule
A ContactEnabler is an OsidRule that operates the
enabling and disabling of a Contact through management of the
Contact effective dates. A ContactEnabler may modify the
effective dates of an Contact to make them effective at a fture
time or expire them. A ContactEnabler that resurrects an expired
Contact may create a new Contact with new effective dates
to preserve the audit trail of effective Contacts .
AddressBook Cataloging
ContactEnablers are also cataloged in AddressBooks .
